Free tool · quote follow-up

Follow up on a quote without sounding pushy.

Describe the service quoted and the point that may need clarification. AdSpark drafts a subject line, email, short message, and call outline. The follow-up confirms the quote, makes questions easier, and asks for one next step without inventing urgency, scarcity, or a discount.

A quote follow-up that helps the customer decide

Restate the context, confirm receipt, offer specific help, and end with one easy question. Mention an expiry date, price change, or available slot only when it is genuinely documented in the quote or schedule.

1. Identify

Name the quote, service, and sent date without exposing sensitive details.

2. Clarify

Ask whether an option, timeline, condition, or scope needs explanation.

3. Progress

Offer one response: a question, short call, or confirmation of the next step.

03

Decision

Ask whether the project is proceeding, changing, or being postponed.

How do you follow up on a quote without being pushy?

A useful quote follow-up identifies the service and sent date, confirms that the document arrived, offers to clarify one point, and ends with an easy question. It does not assume acceptance or create a deadline that was not present in the quote.

  • Subject: ‘Question about the [service] quote sent on [date].’
  • Context: identify the project in one sentence without exposing sensitive details.
  • Help: offer to explain an option, scope item, timeline, price, or condition.
  • Action: ask whether the customer prefers an email answer or a short call.

Quote follow-up email template

Subject: a question about the [service] quote. Hi [First name], I am following up on the quote sent on [date] for [service]. Did it arrive correctly? I can clarify [genuine option or detail] if that would help you compare or decide. Would you prefer an answer by email or a short call? Regards, [Name and business].

  • Replace every placeholder with known and accurate information.
  • Do not say ‘last chance’ unless the documented quote genuinely expires.
  • Do not add an automatic discount before understanding the customer's question.
  • Link to the exact service page when examples or verified details would help.

When should you send the first and final quote follow-up?

Timing depends on value, complexity, the customer's stated decision date, and the quote's genuine validity period. A few business days may suit a simple job. A decision involving several people usually benefits from agreeing on a follow-up date when the quote is first sent.

  • First follow-up: confirm receipt and make questions easy.
  • Second contact: add genuinely useful information instead of repeating the same request.
  • Final follow-up: state that you are closing active follow-up while leaving a clear route back.
  • Stop immediately when the prospect declines or asks not to be contacted.

Frequently asked questions

Is the tool really free and available without an account?

Yes. No account is created. A verified email address is required to reveal the complete result and limit abuse. Marketing tips remain a separate, optional choice.

Does AdSpark receive what I enter?

AdSpark queries Google Places when you choose a business. In the ideas tool, business details and the website may also be processed temporarily to generate the result, without being stored with your email. The verified address and usage events are kept separately. Avoid personal or confidential information.

How many times should you follow up on a quote?

There is no universal number. One short follow-up after a reasonable interval and one clearly identified final check are often enough. Match the timing to the project and stop when the prospect declines or asks not to be contacted.

What subject line should I use to follow up on a quote?

Use a recognisable subject such as ‘Question about the [service] quote,’ ‘Quote [reference]: anything to clarify?’ or ‘Did the [service] quote arrive?’ Avoid fake reply prefixes, all caps, and manufactured urgency.

Should I call after a quote follow-up email?

A call can help when the prospect accepted that contact method or the project needs explanation. Offer a short time slot and preserve an email option. Do not switch channels repeatedly to override silence or a refusal.

Should a quote follow-up include a discount?

Not by default. Clarify the requirement, scope, and questions first. Include a discount only when it is a genuine commercial decision with accurate terms, availability, and dates.

Does the tool publish automatically?

No. It prepares a structure for you to review, complete with verified facts, and publish yourself.
